When Can You Claim?

If you’re a worker and you suffered personal injury in the course of your employment, whether or not you were at your regular place of employment at the time, you can make a claim under the WorkCover scheme.

It doesn’t matter whether you were working on a full-time, permanent, part-time, casual, or fixed-term contract basis.

Who Do You Claim Against?

When you make a claim under the WorkCover scheme, you deal with WorkCoverSA. You can often deal with WorkCoverSA yourself, but retaining a lawyer to represent you is the best way to maximise the amount of compensation that you recover.

If you are not happy with a decision made by WorkCoverSA—like the amount of compensation you are entitled to—you can appeal the decision to the Workers Compensation Tribunal.

What Can You Claim For?
