Legal Costs and Fees

Legal costs and legal fees in South Australia

What does a lawyer cost?

von Doussas generally charge using the traditional time based model, which means that the longer a job takes, the more it costs. We are conscious of the uncertainty inherent in this model and the disincentive it creates for efficiency. As a result we are developing pricing models which provide for greater certainty of cost. One of these models is fixed price charging. We have for some time been offering it in many areas, such as document production (eg. trust deeds, computer and technology contracts, conveyancing and estate planning such as wills, powers of attorney etc), and have recently introduced it as an option in family law. We intend introducing fixed price charging options in other areas over time. If you would like us to provide you with services for a fixed fee, then we are happy to negotiate one with you.
